Good Twisted Tuesday Morning

Good morning Janine and Cali guys and Gals,

You are amazing that you remember all of us Janine I am so empressed.  You asked how I do it and honestly I just do and I have not a clue.  Yesterday started out wonderful had my list and I was focused.  I took my little son with me to the the dentist and we worked on reading and writing assignments at the dentist.  All was going well until the office manager walked in and said guess what?  We just got approval to replace your bridge.  I said awesome!  Then the dentist came in and said since you are here already how about we take impressions.  I said great.  LIttle did I know that to take an impression they would have to remove the old bridge.  So I sit for that and when they get the old bridge off they find all this decay under it.  My luck, so I end up being in the dental chair for over 4 hours iwth a 6 year old bored to tears as he has almost finished his entire writing book and has read all the books we took. I had only planned to get my teeth cleaned so 45 min not 4 1/2 hours.  Poor little guy was amazing.  The nurses could not stop complementing him.  We did not get out of there until  almost 3, that means no lunch for us.  THey gave him some rice cakes so that kept him going. So needless to say I was starving when we got out of there, but how can I eat when I have no feeling in my entire left side of my mouth.  When I finally could eat I was so sore that I couldnt.  But lost a pound overnight so I guess that is good, But I am starving now so I shall get on track today and eat my breakfast/lunch/dinner.  By the way I got all my chores done except get to the gym, and even made it to a support group in the evening!  I am bushed.  Have an awesome day all of you!  Enjoy and do something nice for your self today.

Morning!
Wish I could say that I was pain-free or at least, have a little bit of relief....alas, that is NOT the case.  My lower back is killing me and I have tingling down into my right foot.  I see the doctor again tomorrow afternoon and I guess we will see his plan then.  If we go with what the "usual" treatment is, he will want to wait a few more weeks to see how this last injection pans out and then go from there.  Which could mean 2 more sets of injections. Yippee dippity doo! NOT.

The family is doing fantastic- my sis and BIL and parents are all driving up on Friday for our oldests 13th bday party this weekend.  It will be nice to see them all and they haven't seen Mike yet since he has been home. And I still can't believe that my baby will be officially in the teen years.  Time flies.

Yup, it has been forever.  I'm trying to clear my schedule so I can make Steve and Lu's Support Meeting Saturday...have my fingers crossed.

Today is not exactly a slow day...I'm waiting for the Mobile Shred truck to show up.  We've been cleaning out our storage facility and all the unclassified stuff needs to get dumped; however, it is mixed with some sensitive items so we opted to just get it all shredded rather than stand around and try to sort it all.  We've had the Shred Truck here three times already and this will be the fourth and final time.  Yay!  This is all in prep for our relocation to a newly renovated building.  Renovation starts on the 1st, but we want to make sure we are ready to move when it is completed...before Christmas.  *Happy Dance*

I finished cleaning out my fridge and freezer since trash pick up was today.  Did I mention we had a huge power outage?  Probably not.  The entire city lost power on Friday starting at noon and didn't come back on until after 8pm.  I decided not to take any chances and just dump everything.  Didn't want to put it into the trash can until pick-up day cuz you know the heat would have made the smell unbearable.

Well, the truck has arrived...time to go do some fancy pointing. 

Just a quickie and then I gotta get ready and hit Target ... Dirty Sexy Money comes out on DVD today! Of course I don't need to spend the money, but I gotta have it!

Looks like my plateau has broken - I weighed on Sunday and had lost three more pounds. So now I am at a total loss of 80 pounds. 137 days post-op today ... Not too shabby, eh?

I'm having some food troubles - nothing major but something I'm curious to know whether other people have experienced. BUT ... I have to go do my shopping before my hair appointment and I don't have a lotta time so I will post about the other stuff later.

Happy Tuesday ... It's Monday for me - I go back to work today!  This is me praying, "God, help me get through this day without wanting to strangle any of my coworkers. Amen." LOL

Yeah back to school night... I went to my sons last week.  They did it in an interesting way.  They actually did periods and the bell would ring and you go to the first class then the bell would ring again then you go to the second class and so on and so forth.  We got to see the whold day of my son.  Hes hooting mad at still having to go to the after school program.  This is because he needs after school care.  and walking home is far.  He swears that hell walk home though.  He things the ater school program is torture.  there is no air so its hot too.  Well figure it out though. Cant wait to meet those coming in oct to the meet and greet.  Jess

Janine- thank you again for the shout out.  I will let you know if I need you to come and "regulate" regarding Mr. Greg.  He texted me asking if 24 Hour Fitness is going to pay for his membership fees this month (I joined and he was my referral).  I told him to call me back.  I hate texting!  I don't feel too great about this union.
Why is your ex still talking about your marriage?

I am kicking myself because I missed my long run this weekend.  12 miles.  Fortuneately, my running coach (Kirsten) told me that since I missed this weekend and I ran 11 and then 6 miles the last two weekends, I can run 13 miles this weekend.  So, come early Saturday morning, that is what I will do - 13 miles.  Every run after that will be no more than 6 miles.

Good Morning All!  I love this sleeping in and healing stuff!  Yesterday I had a 2 hour meeting with the nutrionist and the other 3 people in my WLS group.  It was amazing that all 4 of us are doing so great.  We taste tested 3 different protein drinks and talked a lot about all our new foods.  Yeah!  I had a scrambled egg and a spoon of cottage cheeze for lunch and...... could only get 1/2 in.  Wow.

I baked a Cocoa Apple Cake for the night crew and took them all a piece of paper that had the website on it to vote for Jayden's picture.  And a bunch of extras to hand out.  I am NOT above bribery!

Today I am using the $100 gift certificate the guys gave me to go get a nice wonderful massage.  Then going to go buy another couple of apples to bake another cake to take to my work guys.  Bribery again.  Yes, I am good!

Missed a call from Joe last night and I am bummed.  :(  Putting gas in the car and didn't hear the phone.  poooh.  He said he'd call tonight.  He sounded sooooo tired.

I'm off to shower.  Or to just sit here and relax and enjoy my water.

Patience, Patience, Patience..........You should know by now I am no good at that. I go tomorrow for the background/lie detector test, after that it is just more WAITING!!!!
I am proud of myself for sleeping in this morning since I work 3-1130 and have to stay up tonight. Then tomorrow I have to work at 1200. I go for the lie detector/background Thursday at 730 then work at 1200, wanted a nap between the test and work but dont think that will happen. Oh well it will all work out, that is what I keep telling myself.
